Audible Beauty What's New http://audiblebeauty.net The latest updates and additions of sounds from Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Moulin Rouge What's that? An UPDATE? http://forum.audiblebeauty.net/viewtopic.php?t=476 10 Jun 2010 17:11:09 MST http://forum.audiblebeauty.net/viewtopic.php?t=476 Miracles do happen. Today I completed a simple refresh of the site design with a new logo graphic and some tweaks using CSS. It's all in preparation to get back to more regular updates. I have abandoned projects it seems all over the place, so there is plenty to do even if the franchises featured here are fading into memory now... Whatever happened to this site? http://forum.audiblebeauty.net/viewtopic.php?t=473 19 Sep 2009 12:22:37 MST http://forum.audiblebeauty.net/viewtopic.php?t=473 How fondly do I remember the early days when I was busy teaching myself new and wonderful web things, getting excited about lovely Lord of the Rings things (or Star Wars, or whatever)! Obviously, updates and additions have slowed to almost nothing around here. Fear not, nothing will ever be abandoned like so many web sites, but it may be awhile still until I return to a similar rhythm as before.

One of the main causes was enrolling in graduate school while still working full time. I have now completed my degree (Library & Information Science) after 3 years which is a big "whew!"

In the middle of that, I had major computer issue a mere six months after purchasing a sleek-looking new system in August 2007. No data was lost, but my innocence when it comes to system file corruption (including e-mail) was forever affected. Over a year later, I still get a little nervous when turning on the computer--even with careful recovery and obsessive backups. So with that, I simply found other things to do...reading lots of books, watching documentaries, favorite tv shows & movies, etc.

I remain interested in music, audio, web design and movies of course and someday soon I hope to be settled enough to take a comprehensive look at improvements!

A great resource!
